Description
-
Visual Dispersion (The Resist): The white lines represent “Inhibited Dispersion.” This is the opposite of a bleed. A physical barrier (like wax) stopped the liquid pigment from dispersing into that space, creating clean, organic white channels.
-
Texture Dispersion (Scumbling): Look at the large yellow area. It shows “Scumbled Dispersion.” The paint was applied with a dry brush over a textured surface, causing the pigment to catch on the “hills” of the paper and miss the “valleys.” This creates a sparkly, broken texture that adds depth.
-
Layer Dispersion: The botanical elements (dark plum branches) are painted over the background layers with Low Dispersion (high opacity), sitting clearly on top of the scumbled yellow texture.
