Visual Dispersion (The Gradient): Look closely at the dark blue leaves. They are not one solid flat color. You can see the pigment dispersion where the ink is concentrated (dark/black) and where it is diluted with water (light purple/translucent). This creates a natural gradient inside a single shape.
-
Controlled Bleed: Unlike the previous “cloudy” blue image, the dispersion here is very controlled. The edges are relatively sharp, but the interior of the stroke shows the ink dispersing through the water on the brush itself before it hits the paper/fabric.
-
Technical Dispersion (Printing): If you were printing this on fabric, “dispersion” (Disperse Dye Sublimation) would be critical to capturing those semi-transparent purple areas. Standard screen printing might turn those leaves into solid black blobs, losing the delicate “watercolor” effect.
