Description
-
Visual Dispersion (Blocking): The color shows “Step-Dispersion.” Instead of fading smoothly from dark to light (gradient), the artist has painted a distinct dark shape, then a mid-tone shape, then a light shape. The pigment dispersion is “stepped” or blocked out, typical of gouache or acrylic painting.
-
Highlight Dispersion (Specular): The white accents show “Specular Dispersion.” They are sharp, high-contrast marks that sit on top of the color layers without blending. They simulate a glossy reflection.
-
Edge Dispersion (Painterly): The edges are “Brush-Defined.” They are relatively clean but show the natural irregularity of a round brush tip, avoiding the “cut-out” look of a vector file.
