Description
-
Visual Dispersion (Sedimentary): The darker leaves, particularly the slate and charcoal ones, exhibit “Sedimentary Dispersion.” This is a watercolor effect where heavier pigment particles settle into the texture of the paper, creating a granular, mottled appearance within the wash.
-
Edge Dispersion (Pooling): The edges of the leaves show “Wet-Edge Pooling.” As the paint dried, the pigment was pushed to the outer edge of the wet shape, creating a darker, defined rim (or “coffee ring” effect) while the center remains lighter.
-
Layer Dispersion (Transparency): Where leaves overlap, you see “Glazed Dispersion.” The transparent wash of one leaf sits on top of another, creating a third, darker color in the intersection without muddying the individual hues.
