Description
-
Visual Dispersion (Back-Run): The defining texture of the red petals is “Back-Run Dispersion” (often called a “bloom” or “cauliflower”). As the pool of water dried, the pigment was pushed to the edges of the puddle, dispersing into irregular, jagged internal boundaries.
-
Pigment Dispersion (Sedimentary): The blue-grey leaves exhibit “Sedimentary Dispersion.” The pigment particles appear heavier here, settling into the “valleys” of the paper texture, creating a grainy, speckled wash.
-
Edge Dispersion (Calligraphic): The leaves taper off into fine points, showing a “Calligraphic Dispersion” where the brush lifted off the paper, narrowing the flow of pigment until it ran out.
