Description
-
Visual Dispersion (Linear): Unlike the “scatter” prints (like image 040) where elements are dispersed randomly in all directions, this image has Zero Horizontal Dispersion. The floral elements are strictly confined to their vertical lanes. This creates a sense of order, rhythm, and height.
-
Technical Dispersion (The “Wobble”): Look at the white vertical stripes. They are not sharp, straight vectors. They vary in thickness and waviness. This mimics the physical dispersion of ink in manual block printing—where the pressure of the hand varies, causing the ink to spread (disperse) slightly more in some spots than others, creating that charming, imperfect edge.
-
Category: Provençal / French Country Stripe.
-
Dispersion: Refers to the strict vertical containment of the motifs (visual) and the simulated ink spread of the wobbly edges (textural).
