Description
-
Visual Dispersion (Striation): Unlike the “Cloudy” dispersion of watercolors (038) or the “Random” dispersion of granite (054), this image features Linear Dispersion. The pigment appears to be dispersed by dragging a comb or brush through a viscous medium. The lines are distinct but fluid, creating a sense of movement and muscle.
-
Contained Dispersion: While the inside of the shapes looks liquid and flowing, the edges are bounded by sharp white lines (Zero Edge Dispersion).
-
The Contrast: This creates a “stained glass” effect where the chaotic, flowing liquid is trapped inside rigid cells. The dispersion is allowed to happen only within the boundaries of the petal.
