Description
-
Visual Dispersion (The Edge): Look at the edges of the leaves. They are not sharp lines. They are “feathery” or fuzzy. This represents high edge dispersion, caused by the physical phenomenon of capillary action (wicking), where the water travels outwards along the paper fibers, pulling the pigment with it.
-
Internal Dispersion (Granulation): Inside the leaves, the color is not smooth like plastic. It looks speckled or grainy. This is pigment dispersion or “granulation.” Heavier pigment particles have settled into the “valleys” of the paper texture, while the water carried the lighter particles further away. This creates a rich, organic texture that feels handmade.
