Description

• Visual Dispersion (Mottled): The primary sienna and charcoal sweeps exhibit “Internal Wash Mottling.” The color is dispersed in uneven, watery clusters where the pigment has pooled at the margins of the strokes, suggesting a “wet-on-wet” technique applied with high physical force.

• Pigment Dispersion (Zonal): The design features “Zonal Saturation Contrast.” Saturated indigo and sienna pigments are dispersed in dense, opaque pockets within the central “blooms,” immediately surrounded by wide areas of highly diluted or “ghosted” taupe washes.

• Edge Dispersion (Sharp-to-Fibrillated): The boundaries of the main forms feature “Fibrillated Edge Dispersion.” There is a soft, feathered bleed at the margins where the wet ink meets the dry field, while the vertical triptych dividers provide a “Hard-Edge Structural Dispersion” that cuts through the organic forms.
